Welcome to the official website of the
Chale School and Village Association.

We are a group of villagers from Chale who have banded together to stop the closure of our village school, because this will seriously undermine the existence of our village as a living and working community.

We are passionate about Chale, which has survived into the 21st century as a fully functioning rural village. We have a Post Office, a village shop and café, a garage and filling station, a village pub, a church, and at the heart of Chale is Chale Primary School. Our village has more than 12 local businesses, as well as farming, which provide local employment. We have an active W.I. and lots of local groups and activities. Some local families have been here for many generations, and we wish to save our village for generations to come.

We have set up this website in order to share our campaign with anyone who is interested in helping us preserve our way of life.
